BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT 

We can't wait to have you in! Appointments can be made right here or feel free to give us a call at 202.506.5308 for Varnish Lane Friendship Heights. 

We require a credit card to hold all appointments. Your card will only be charged upon completion of your services or in the case of a late cancellation or appointment no-show.

LATE TO THE LANE?

Please call us if you will be arriving late for your reserved appointment time so that we can assess our options. If you are more than 5 minutes late for your scheduled appointment time we reserve the right to shorten or reschedule your service in order to avoid interfering with the next client’s appointment. If a service must be shortened due to time constraints, the cost of the original service booked will be charged.

CHANGE OF PLANS?

We kindly ask that you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled time. Appointments cancelled within 22 hours of the schedule time will be charged 50% of the services booked plus 20% gratuity on the original cost of the service. Appointments cancelled with 2 hours of your scheduled time and missed appointments without any notice of cancellation will be charged 100% of the service cost plus 20% gratuity.

GETTING YOUR NAILS DONE WITH FRIENDS & FAMILY IS FUN! WANT TO BRING A GROUP?

Please contact us at 202.506.5308 to inquire about group appointment availability. Groups of three to five people require a credit card upon time of booking. Any parties larger than five people must rent the space to accommodate their group.

Cancellations or service downgrades within 24 hours of the appointment time will be charged the total cost plus 20% gratuity of the service originally booked. We require 20% gratuity on all services in the group appointment.

If a group member arrives more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time we cannot guaranteed their scheduled services (but we always try our best to make it work!). The group coordinator is still required to pay the full cost of these services including 20% gratuity even if we are unable to provide the services.

We do offer the option to reserve the entire salon based on the day of the week, time of the day and availability. Email us at hello@varnishlane.com to inquire about availability, policies and rates. 

HELP! I’M LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT GIFT. DO YOU SELL GIFT CARDS?

Absolutely! Gift cards are available for purchase at the shop. We also offer E-certificates available for purchase on our website here. These can be emailed to the recipient directly at time of purchase or scheduled to be sent on a later date.

Please note, we do NOT offer any refunds on gift card or e-certificate purchases. Gift cards and e-certificates are valid for all Varnish Lane services and products. Cards may not be redeemed for cash.

PAYMENT

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and cash. We do not accept checks.

CELL PHONE USE POLICY

In order to create the most relaxing experience for all of our clients, we kindly ask that you turn your cell phone on vibrate when you arrive. We also ask that you do not take any phone calls while relaxing at Varnish Lane.
